DURO WATER
DURO WATER, a subsidiary of DURO INVESTMENT & LIVESTOCK FARMS LTD,
began operation some few years ago with the aim “to quench thirst with
water well purified and certified for human consumption”. As we all
know “good water is a necessity for life”.
Before Duro Water Commenced operation researches were done, NAFDAC was
invited & questions were asked,
Questions such as:
i.) What will it cost to produce water of WHO standard?
ii.) What will it cost to set up a Lab? etc.
DURO WATER (FACTORY)
The factory is specially planned to meet NAFDAC standard. It is
equipped with the following facilities:
1) Cloak room
2) Toilet and bathroom sited some distance away from the production
room
3) Production rooms with fitted nets at the entrance & windows
4) The room walls are well tiled and the floor German floor.
5) The rooms are fitted with air conditioners to prevent dusty air.
6) The factory is painted white to signify purity.
DURO WATER (PRODUCTION)
Our water source is from deep inside the ground (Underground water).
Boreholes dug to 140ft. with strong submersive pumps, the water is
pumped into sedimentation tanks where the water particles first settle
at under gravity.
The Sedimentation tanks connected to subsequent tanks where
calcification and aeration of the water takes place. With our modules
of sand and Activated carbon beds we are able to filter and combat
taste chemicals odour, color etc. from water.
The modules content are tightly packed to a great height to ensure
maximum filtration at a slow speed. The modules are refilled every six
months to ensure efficient treatment.
Micro filters of 0.5V and Ultra Violent light are not left out in our
treatment plant. The storage tanks for the treated water are 50 meters
above ground level.
Duro Water engages in the production of:
Sachet water of 50cl volume &
Bottled water of 75cl volume.
The Bottled water has a different purification system with State – of
– Art equipments in place to ensure production of high quality water.
Duro water is automatically filled and sealed by automated machine No
exposure of the treated water to air and human contact before sealing.
Hygiene conscious, standby factory workers now pack the sachets 20’s
into bags. From here they are either loaded into the vehicles for
marketing or they are carried into the stores for storage.
DURO WATER (LABORATORY ANALYSIS)
Duro Water has been tested for:

Chemical and
Microbiological analysis and confirmed okay by NAFDAC
The Physical Tests include:
Appearance, Odour, Taste, Turbidity, PH, Salinity etc.
Chemical Tests include:
Dissolved oxygen, Residual Chlorine, Sulphates, Phosphate, Nitrates,
Total Acidity, Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Chloride, Trace /
Toxic Heavy metals, Calcium, Sodium, Potassium,
Magnesium, Lead, Iron, Nickel, Zinc, Chromium, Silver, Mercury,
Arsenic, Cadmium etc.
Microbiological Tests include:
Total Plate Count, Total Coli form Count, Confirmatory Feacal coli
form test
Laboratory test carried out by National Agency for food Drugs
Administration and control (NAFDAC) Confirmed Duro Water Satisfactory
to human Consumption.
DURO SACHET WATER has the NAFDAC Registration number 01-0313L
DURO BOTTLED WATER has the NAFDAC Registration number 01-5211
Duro Water is recognized by NAFDAC for her participations in their
seminars and workshops.
DISTRIBUTION
Duro Water has clean Vehicles that distribute the produced water.
Aside from that, we allow distributors form outside too, provided they
meet with our laid down rules.
All our vehicles must be clean and attractive to the eyes. Duro water
has invested seriously in cage construction. These cages are given to
her numerous customers free to enable them have a good storage for
their water. This company is seriously interested in the purity of the
